Saturday Serve

Saturday Serve is a once-a-month, come-as-you-are, intergenerational service opportunity. This spring, we are challenging ourselves to stretch! We will still offer on-campus opportunities to serve, but in addition, we plan to visit new communities and learn about important ministry taking place across our city! Stay tuned to learn more ways you can get involved--watch the Grace homepage and Grace Weekly email for project details each month.

Coming up:

Saturday, March 14
We’re partnering with The Restoration Team (TRT) for a day of service helping a neighbor in West Houston. We’ll be doing fence demo and rebuilding, with possible fascia repairs. No skills required and tools will be provided — we just need willing hands and hearts to serve! We’ll leave the church at 8 a.m. and return around 3 p.m. Rain is expected earlier in the week, but we’re hopeful for great weather on the 14th. If you’ll be in town and would like to volunteer, please let Kristy know at kelmore@gpch.org.

Saturday, April 18
Please come prayerfully serve the neighborhoods around Grace Presbyterian Church. At 10 a.m., we will go out in teams to pray for our neighbors. Participants will be divided into partner groups, and each group will be assigned specific homes to pray for. The partners will walk to each house, pray for the household and its residents, and leave a door hanger on every home they pray for. We will return to the church before noon and debrief. No registration is required, but we encourage as many people from the congregation as possible to participate so we can reach and pray for as many homes as possible.

Saturday, June 27
Join us as we serve breakfast to children and families receiving care through the programs at Bo's Place. We will meet at Grace at 8 a.m. (or you may meet us directly at Bo's Place), and ride over together. Bo's Place has a special mission of serving children and families who have lost a loved one, walking alongside them through the grieving process with care, support, and community. This is a meaningful opportunity to show love and encouragement to families during a difficult season. Youth are welcome to join us, accompanied by a parent. For more information or to register, please contact Kristy Elmore at kelmore@gpch.org.
