- VACATON BIBLE SCHOOL VOLUNTEERS
VBS registration is currently only available via the waiting list. We can only get these kiddos to VBS with your help! We are in need of 70 crew leaders for VBS week. We cannot clear the wait list because we don't have enough leaders! Please pray about whether you can directly impact the lives of these children for VBS and volunteer HERE!
Another way to help is by the Amazon Wishlist! Help us make VBS available for all kids by donating crafts, snacks and supplies! We also welcome monetary donations to purchase crafts, supplies and snacks to fuel this great big journey. With your donation, hundreds of kids will get to hear about a BIG God who loves them more than they could ever imagine.
- CHURCH OFFICER NOMINATIONS
Each year at Grace, we nominate fellow covenant partners (members) to serve in leadership as elders and deacons. This year's class of new leaders will serve a three-year commitment beginning January 1, 2027.
Grace, an ECO (A Covenant Order of Evangelical Presbyterians) congregation, is governed by the Session, which is composed of elders. The deacons provide care ministries to the congregation. Both elders and deacons are vital to the health of the congregation. These positions require different skills, talents, and gifts. Each has unique duties and requires different energies. Both deacons and elders are required to adhere to the ECO Essential Tenets.
You'll find more information and the nomination forms online HERE. The deadline is Friday, May 15. Paper ballots will also be available outside the Sanctuary doors. Completed ballots may be returned to the Connections Table, located in the Welcome Center lobby.
- SUMMER EVENT DIGEST
Summers are always a busy time for all of us, and it is easy to miss some of the many opportunities to share life that Grace has to offer. If you are looking for ways to pray over the ministries of the church or simply want to know what's happening in the life of Grace, grab an EVENT DIGEST and get plugged in. There are so many things to be a part of--Bible studies and classes, retreats, mission trips, and other opportunities to serve--ways to live life in community as we share the gospel and share our lives. Summer 2026 Digests may be found throughout the lobby and Welcome Center--pick one up and be ready for the spring months!
GOOD NEWS OF THE WEEK
We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit—We celebrate what God is doing! The 4th Annual Grace's Greatest Baker contest proved once again that while we are all brothers and sisters in Christ, all bets are off when the oven mitts come on. The competition was spirited, featuring a level of good-natured trash-talking usually reserved for a reality TV show. Stella de Jong secured a sweet third-place finish with her strawberry cupcakes, while the two-time defending champion, Jordan Tritt, surrendered her crown but kept her dignity with second-place silver for her oatmeal cream pie. However, the morning belonged to the ultimate underdog, Grant Kay, who pulled off the upset with a banana bundt cake so divine it practically hummed a hymn. A huge thank you to everyone who baked, tasted, or donated; your sugar-coated efforts truly made this Easter morning at Grace something special.
