- MAUNDY THURSDAY AND GOOD FRIDAY
Maundy Thursday Remembrance and Supper TONIGHT, April 2, 6:30 p.m., MT Fellowship Hall This multi-generational supper is a mosaic of beautiful traditions that we cherish from the past meshed with the new traditions we are making together as the Grace family of today. We will be led by Scripture as we walk through the final moments Jesus had with his disciples at the Last Supper. Serving one another with our very hands and actively participating in the evening, we will share this simple meal and count down the final days of the Lenten season together before turning our eyes to Good Friday. No childcare will be provided as we encourage guests and covenant partners alike to experience this beautiful family-friendly evening together. We hope that you will join us. Good Friday Worship Service Friday, April 3, 7 p.m., The Sanctuary A solemn evening service for this, the darkest of days of remembrance. You will gain a new understanding of Jesus’ sacrifice and the reason for each day of reflection and remembrance during Holy Week. The service will make Easter even more joyful, as the darkness and reflection of the Good Friday Tenebrae service will remind us on Easter Sunday of all the many reasons to praise him through every season!
- GRACE'S GREATEST BAKER
Whether you want to try out a new recipe, or you have a tried and true, passed-down-from-generation one, we would love to enjoy your delicious treats on Easter morning! But only one will be named Grace's Greatest Baker! Stop by the Welcome Center on Sundays and pick up a platter, a judge's plate, and an entry tag. On Saturday, April 4, place a sample of your entry on the judge's plate with the entry tag taped to the bottom and place the rest of your treats on the platter for the congregation to enjoy. Bring both the platter and plate on Saturday from 1-5 p.m. to the kitchen in Massey-Tucker Fellowship Hall to be served on Easter morning. Please make sure to put the entry tag on the judge's platter you are bringing, so we know who to celebrate when you win! Register HERE! If you would prefer not to be entered into the competition, we would love it if you would still bake something to share with our congregation and guests--you may sign up for a spot and just comment to not be entered! Or if you would like to buy treats to share, that is encouraged as well!
- FAMILY PARK DAY
On Friday, April 24, all Children’s Ministry families are invited to join us for a awesome evening of fellowship at Walnut Bend Recreation Center (10601 Briar Forest Drive, Houston, TX 77042). We encourage families to invite friends and neighbors to come along! Join us from 5:30–7:30 p.m. for a great night of games, food, and time together.
GOOD NEWS OF THE WEEK
We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit-- We celebrate what God is doing! Sixty-five women gathered at the historic Tremont House in Galveston last weekend for the 2026 Grace Women’s Retreat. This overnight getaway was a fun-filled time of fellowship, discipleship, and learning centered around the theme "Restored to Rise," led by our very own Ivy Castle Simpson. It is safe to say that everyone left feeling restored and refreshed, having been reminded of God’s goodness through laughter, worship, and sweet community. We are so grateful for every moment—He is truly faithful to renew us.
THE BIBLE IN A YEAR UPDATES
Grace's podcast--Grace Cast--is available once a month! Grace Cast includes discussions from our pastors, ministry leaders and all generations of our congregation coming together to share their thoughts, insights, tough questions and summaries on our scripture readings. The format is light and conversational. It is available HERE, and on our YouTube channel. This month, Pastor Denise and Pastor Julia go through Song of Songs up through Ezekiel. Check it out! HERE you will find a multitude of other resources to help you with the reading plan, including videos, podcasts, and articles to bring greater insight to what you have read. You will also find recaps and summaries of sections for times when you may fall behind. Keep up the good work!
