CARING TREE



Throughout the year, some in our congregation are unable to join us for worship and church activities due to advanced age, illness, or other challenges. During the Christmas season, when so much is happening at Grace, it’s especially important to remind those who can’t be with us that their church family cares deeply for them.

Here’s how you can help: share the joy of Christmas by sending a card. Include your favorite Bible verse, a written prayer, or even a family-drawn picture. It’s a simple yet meaningful way to brighten someone’s season.

Visit the Caring Tree near the Welcome Desk, beautifully decorated with lights, garlands, and ornaments. Each ornament features the name and address of one of our Grace family and friends who would be blessed by your card. Take an ornament and spread some Christmas cheer!




SPRING EVENT DIGEST



Spring is a busy time for all of us, and it is easy to miss some of the many opportunities to share life that Grace has to offer. If you are looking for ways to pray over the ministries of the church or simply want to know what's happening in the life of Grace, grab an EVENT DIGEST and get plugged in. There are so many things to be a part of--Bible studies and classes, retreats, mission trips, and other opportunities to serve--ways to live life in community as we share the gospel and share our lives. Spring 2026 Digests may be found throughout the lobby and Welcome Center--pick one up and be ready for the coming months. An online copy is available HERE.




OPEN HOUSE AT PASTOR JULIA'S



Pastor Julia is welcoming everyone into the new year at her annual open house. Drop by anytime for coffee, cookies, and conversation, and start 2026 with a smile! Sunday, January 4, 1-3 p.m. at her home at 1602 Beaconshire Road, Houston.

GOOD NEWS OF THE WEEK We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit-- We celebrate what God is doing! What a wonderful time the Grace Family enjoyed last Sunday! The morning started with a beautiful reminder of the greatest gift. Through sweet songs and joyful hearts, we celebrated God’s love and the birth of Jesus—told in the most precious way with Grace Kid's Music! Check out the highlights HERE. And then it was on to Christmas for the City! What a full day of joy and kingdom impact as we gathered together to build beds for those in our community in need, put together bears and meals to love our neighbors. We are so grateful for everyone's generosity of their time and resources to make this day so special. God is so good! You may see the highlights of the day HERE.

THE BIBLE IN A YEAR UPDATES

The Bible Project has wonderful videos that will review each book of the Bible, as well as broad overviews and videos that delve into a specific theme. The links to the book overviews are available HERE, and they are a great way to catch up with readings that you may have missed. There are also links to "posters" which give a broad overview of each book. These will also be available in the lobby on Sunday mornings.

HERE you will find a multitude of other resources to help you with the reading plan, including videos, podcasts, and articles to bring greater insight to what you have read. You will also find recaps and summaries of sections for times when you may fall behind. Keep up the good work!

Sunday is the fourth Sunday in Advent. This Sunday we continue the Advent journey in a special way with Lessons & Carols, a service filled with joyful music and the Good News of the birth of Christ!

The Advent and Christmas season is a perfect time to invite a friend, family member, neighbor, or coworker to Grace. Here is the schedule through the new year:

WEDNESDAY, DECEMBER 24
Christmas Eve Worship Services

• 10:30 a.m.: Jammies and Jingle Bells for kids and their families, in the Sanctuary
• 3 p.m.: Candlelight and Communion worship service, in the Founders' Chapel
• 5 p.m.: Candlelight and Communion worship service, in the Sanctuary
• 7 p.m.: Grace en Español worship service, in the Founders' Chapel

SUNDAY, DECEMBER 28
Sunday Worship Service at 9:30 a.m., in the Founders' Chapel

FINANCIAL UPDATE

As the year comes to a close, we are striving to finish 2025 in a strong financial position, and as such, we have some remarkable news to share. As you may know, a few families felt a specific calling from the Lord, and discerned a desire not only to give generously to the work God is doing here at Grace, but also to invite others to join them in this effort. These families have pledged to provide a match up to $300,000 for all operating fund gifts given to Grace in excess of our current 2025 collections target of $2,800,000.

Grace Family, we have reached our 2025 Target Goal!

• 2025 Target Goal was $2,800,000
• Actual 2025 collections are $2,806,940 (as of 12/16/25)
• Amount over Target is $6,940

• Match Goal is $3,100,000
• Remaining to Match Goal is $293,060 (9%)
• Match earned to date is $6,940

Through the end of the year, any giving will now be matched dollar-for-dollar, up to $300,000.

Each week we are getting closer to reaching the entire amount of the match! We encourage you to take advantage of this unique opportunity to make what you share even more transformative by giving generously to reach this matching gift. You may give your tithe or offering, make a gift beyond your stated pledge, or make a donation HERE.
