- An Evening of Conversation with David Bailey of Arrabon
We are thrilled to have the Founder and Chief Vision Officer of Arrabon, David M. Bailey, with us once again. Arrabon is a spiritual formation ministry working to bring people together as one Church and one family in Jesus Christ and teaching how to practice reconciliation side-by-side.
David Bailey and Arrabon are known for shepherding churches and Christian organizations through a process to become reconciling communities for a broken and divided world. They believe that a reconciling community is one that actively practices the ongoing work of peacemaking and Kingdom building. David will help us ponder and work towards building a community of faith that has a biblically-rooted approach to reconciliation. Learn more about this remarkable ministry HERE.
Join us for "An Evening of Conversation with David Bailey" on Wednesday, October 25 at 7 p.m. at Grace. There is no cost for the evening, but please let us know you and your guests are coming by registering HERE.

Good News of the Week
We celebrate the things that we have offered to God that are bearing fruit— We celebrate what God is doing! At the top of the worship bulletin each week, it says "A Celebration of Worship." And at Grace, we can certainly celebrate the joy of God moving through the Sanctuary and touching lives. From beautiful music provided by dedicated singers and musicians, to moments in worship like baptisms, Children at the Chancel, and commissioning of mission trips and others who serve, there are moments that touch us every week. Add to that God's Word spoken, prayed, and preached and you truly have opportunities for transcendent moments. This Sunday, we expand our celebration! It is World Communion Sunday and we will join with Christians across the world to celebrate the sacrament of the Lord's Supper. Plus we will hear from mission partners, other congregations, and the children will parade the flags of every nation through the Sanctuary. If you step back, it will be a reflection of what our congregation has grown into: people of all ages, nationalities, and whatever other demographic you choose worshipping God as one. And that is truly something to celebrate!
WORSHIP THIS SUNDAY
If you are out of town or unable to join us for in-person worship this week, please join us online via livestream HERE. We will be continuing a new series for the fall focusing on Ephesians. This week's scripture is Ephesians 2:11-22. It is also World Communion Sunday, so expect a bit of international flavor within the service, including the traditional flag processional and of course the celebration of the Lord's Supper.
There will be a brief congregational meeting Sunday, October 8, immediately following worship to meet and elect the new church deacons and elders, and any other necessary business matters. Also next Sunday, Randall’s Pharmacy will be here 9 a.m. – 12:30 p.m. for flu shots and other immunizations. Details HERE.
Pastor Julia has posted a video recapping the updates to Grace's mission, vision, and values. You may watch it HERE. After worship, you may continue to live out the rhythm of grace by sharing a meal with your friends. KP's Kitchen (8412 Interstate 10 Frontage Rd #350, in front of Home Depot) is offering 10% off your bill when you present your worship bulletin on Sunday! Great food and sharing life together, what could be better?
