Today's Scripture:
Psalm 25:2-7
I trust in you;
do not let me be put to shame,
nor let my enemies triumph over me.
No one who hopes in you
will ever be put to shame,
but shame will come on those
who are treacherous without cause.
Show me your ways, Lord,
teach me your paths.
Guide me in your truth and teach me,
for you are God my Savior,
and my hope is in you all day long.
Remember, Lord, your great mercy and love,
for they are from of old.
Do not remember the sins of my youth
and my rebellious ways;
according to your love remember me,
for you, Lord, are good.
Read: Reflect on a story in your life that pertains to this scripture.
This scripture is reminding me that what I say is not always the truth; really God is the truth. So, I need to not always assume that I am right, but instead remember to follow God's footsteps.
Reflect: What is this scripture telling you during this season?
My friend and I had a disagreement once. I knew I was telling the truth, but my friend said I wasn't telling the truth. It was frustrating when my friend didn’t trust me, and I tried not to get mad and tried again to tell him the truth. It is complicated between my friend and me, but with God it is not complicated. Because God is truth.
Respond: How is this scripture calling you to respond?
I am not always right. My mom is not always right. But God is always right and can be trusted always.
