Lenten Devotional 2024

Today's Scripture:

Psalm 107:1-3 Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. Let the redeemed of the LORD tell their story— those he redeemed from the hand of the foe, those he gathered from the lands, from east and west, from north and south

Read: Reflect on a story in your life that pertains to this scripture.
This scripture tells us that all people who were saved by Jesus should go spread the word about their saving. It is talking to all the people that were redeemed by God and how they should tell all of the people about their testimony so they could get saved too and became Christian.

Reflect: What is this scripture telling you during this season?
During my first year in middle school I was having a lot of trouble with homework and getting used to so many changes. It was at one point overwhelming. I would talk to my mom, and I asked her what to do. She said let's pray. That night we prayed to God, and I asked Him to help me. It didn't feel like anything changed at first, but we kept praying. Over the next month things started to get a lot easier and less stressful. That whole month I felt like God was guiding me to start adapting to the change in middle school.

Respond: How is this scripture calling you to respond?
I think this scripture is calling me to share my story to show others how God is always with us, and how He is ready to guide us if we ask Him to help. If you ask God into your heart, He will do amazing things with your life.
